Get together with people you know who have an interest in MD; parents, friends, carers and adults with MD.

MDC will put you in touch with your Regional Organiser  who can help you, along with your Family Care Officer who can pass information to their patients in your area.

Find a venue and advertise the meeting in libraries, doctors surgeries, hospitals, on the internet and anywhere else interested parties might frequent.

Try to interest a consultant or someone in research to come and talk to the gathering.

Ask for volunteers for the committee.  You will need a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.  A committee can be any size but this is the minimum. Your Regional Organiser will help with the paperwork. 

Setup a bank account and your first meeting and you are on your way.
